The Regional Rounds in the Middle East, delivered in partnership with Ain Shams University, were held in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon and Cairo, Egypt, after having been hosted in Doha, Qatar, from 2011 to 2013. The competition offers students from all over the region a unique chance to put their training into practice and address the latest media law issues in a diverse and international environment.

This year edition of Middle East Rounds 2019 will be hosted in partnership with Faculty of Law in the British University in Cairo. The Faculty of Law at the British University in Egypt (“BUE Law”) was established in 2016 with an aspiring vision to be a role model for legal education in Egypt and the Middle East. It has an undergraduate program that offers a unique learning experience for key aspects of Egyptian, English and International Law and is validated by London South Bank University “LSBU”. A graduate of BUE Law earns a bachelor degree with dual certificates, one from the BUE and the other from LSBU. BUE Law has signed more than ten cooperation protocols with major international law firms, judicial entities and research centres to ensure the exposure to the job market to all its graduates. The BUE Law has also established the research Centre of Law and Emerging Technologies. Furthermore, BUE Law will launch two LLM programs in the next academic year.
